Student Employment

One of the goals of the Career Services Department at Miami International University of Art & Design is to assist students with obtaining part-time employment while attending the University. Career advisors are available to assist students obtain general part-time jobs around the city, as well as field-related employment and internships for upper division students.

Students attending Miami International University of Art & Design have access to employment leads, job fairs, internships, and on-campus visits from companies seeking employees. The Career Services staff also assists students with interviewing techniques such as dress code, questions to ask, professional etiquette, and mock interviews. The department also provides moral support and positive reinforcement to students who are ready to enter the job market after graduation. When students are close to graduating, the Career Services staff will review and critique each student’s résumé and portfolio and provide key counseling on corporate hiring processes and salary negotiation skills.
